Project Manager / Estimator Concrete, Masonry & Excavation
Location : Minneapolis, MN (strong preference for local industry knowledge)
About the Role
Summit Skilled Solutions is seeking an experienced Project Manager / Estimator with a proven background in commercial concrete, masonry, and light excavation . This individual must be capable of owning projects from initial estimation through project closeoutoperating independently while setting the standard for less-experienced PMs on the team.

Responsibilities
Project Management
Lead commercial concrete and masonry projects from start to finish, ensuring quality, schedule, and budget performance.
Manage project budgets ranging from $6$8M annually
Conduct site visits, coordinate field teams, subcontractors, inspectors, and suppliers.
Maintain detailed project logs, RFIs, change orders, submittals, and documentation.
Ensure compliance with project specifications, safety standards, and building codes.
Communicate project status clearly to leadership, clients, and field teams. Estimating
Prepare accurate and competitive bids for concrete, masonry, and light excavation scopes.
Perform detailed takeoffs using tools such as PlanSwift .
Build estimates based on local market knowledge of labor, materials, subcontractors, and vendors.
Support business development by leveraging Minneapolis market relationships.
Manage a full bid log and turn around estimates efficientlyespecially during high-volume periods. Types of Projects
Commercial Masonry & Concrete (Primary)
New construction & restoration projects
Multifamily / apartment projects
Light excavation (limited portion of the work)
Quick-serve restaurant (QSR) / fast-food remodels Required Experience & Skills
510 years of combined Project Management & Estimating experience.
Strong background in commercial concrete and masonry .
Ability to independently manage full project lifecycle with minimal oversight.
Proficiency with ProCore , ProContractor , and PlanSwift (or similar tools) is a bonus.
Proven track record of maintaining profitability and productivity across multiple projects.
Strong organizational skills and the ability to juggle multiple active bids and jobs.
Local Minneapolis market experience highly preferred (vendors, subs, GCs, competitors). Compensation & Benefits
Base Salary : ~ $120,000
Bonus : Personal and company performance-driven; no cap for high performers.
Car Allowance : $150 / week
