Material Handler

Material Handler - Manassas, VA

Adecco is assisting a local company in Manassas, VA, with hiring a Material Handler . In this role, you will be responsible for transporting raw materials, in-process products, and finished goods according to the production schedule. Additionally, you will ship and receive materials necessary to meet production goals and requirements, while verifying and maintaining accurate records of incoming and outgoing product movements. The role also includes conducting daily and weekly cycle counts.

Responsibilities :

• Perform shipping and receiving duties, including verifying shipping documents (BOL, packing lists, etc.).
• Pick orders according to the established FIFO (First In, First Out) method for finished goods.
• Assemble and insert products into containers or select pre-assembled containers.
• Post weights, shipping charges, and affix postage where necessary.
• Affix shipping labels to cartons, identifying shipping information.
• Receive raw materials and supplies in accordance with internal SOPs.
• Obtain material samples as needed for orders.
• Unpack and examine incoming shipments, rejecting damaged items, recording shortages, and coordinating with shippers to resolve issues.

Pay Details : $20.90 per hour
