Position Information Position Title GED NEDP Tutors FLSA Non-Exempt FT/PT Part Time Hours Per Week Varies, not to exceed 25 hours per week Work Schedule Varies, but typical time frames are M-Th, 8:30 – 9:30 am, 12 – 2pm, 5 – 6:30 pm with Friday and weekend options, too Position Salary Range $30-$35 per hour Essential Role Responsibilities This is a temporary, hourly position for one semester which can be renewed based on employee performance. Duties include providing individual and/or small group tutoring in for specific classes and topics; tutoring content and study skill strategies; attending mandatory orientation for new tutors and completing HCC online required training. The individual will be responsible for completing required administrative tasks including, but not limited to recordkeeping relevant to tutoring sessions and communications with classroom instructors. Must be willing to work as a team player and abide by grant program policies and procedures.
Minimum Education Required Bachelor’s degree Preferred Experience Relevant knowledge in the subject(s) assessed in the GED/NEDP programs.
Background and familiarity with adult high school diploma programs a plus!
