Job description
OverviewAt First Citizens Bank, together we become better. We're looking for people who want more than just a job - who want to make a difference in the communities where we live and work.The Sales and Service Representative is responsible for processing transactions and other customer service requests in the branch. The position facilitates customer awareness and education of bank capabilities, tools, and resources, and supports the sales efforts of a branch team by identifying and referring sales opportunities to the appropriate bank partner.The successful candidate will demonstrate:Communication Skills - Interpersonal: Comfortable and confident with proactively engaging in conversationCustomer Service Skills: Demonstrates professionalism and empathy in customer interactionsSales Skills: Ability to support team by making client servicing calls, identifying client needs or opportunities by fulfilling the need or referring the client to the appropriate branch team members or specialistAdaptability: Has the ability to learn and adapt quickly to new information and technologyTeamwork: Strives to build strong working relationships with those on their team as well as cross-functional relationshipsFlexibility: Capable of handling multiple demands and can readily shift priorities to ensure work is done efficientlyResponsibilitiesThe essential functions of the job include, but are not necessarily limited to, the following:Engaging customers in conversation to understand their banking needs and preferencesProcessing transactions accurately and efficientlyProviding assistance with account servicing needsFacilitating customer awareness and education of bank services, including digital banking capabilitiesIntroducing customers to other branch team members or bank partners who are able to provide solutions for their financial needsQualificationsBasic Qualifications:High School Diploma or GED6 months customer service experienceAdditional Required Skills and Experiences:1year of recent, USD cash-handling experienceProven ability to meet sales metrics or referral goalsTeam player mentality - this role will work in tandem with many banking partnersStrong, professional written and verbal communication skillsBenefits are an integral part of total rewards and First Citizens Bank is committed to providing a competitive, thoughtfully designed and quality benefits program to meet the needs of our associates.
