Job description
Are you a results-driven, team-oriented leader? This is the opportunity for you! As a Project Manager I, you will manage projects from design through release and program closeout, ensuring successful delivery to customers. You will develop project plans, schedules, and budgets, and interface with internal and external stakeholders on technical matters. This role typically involves managing simpler projects and serves as an introduction to people management.The ISR (Intelligence, Surveillance & Reconnaissance), Aviation, and Security (IAS) business area is a leader in ISR and aviation, it is a leading prime manned and unmanned aircraft systems integrator for innovative, high-performance ISR and aviation systems. Its end-to-end Command, Control, Computers, Communications and Intelligence, Surveillance & Reconnaissance (C4ISR) capabilities encompass design, integration, test, certification, ground/flight training and complete logistics support. IAS tailors solutions to customer cost, performance, and schedule requirements and designs to consistently exceed expectations – with an unrivaled record of on time and on (or under) budget deliveries.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage projects from design to release, including project initiation, execution, delivery, and closeout.
  • Develop, define, and execute project plans, schedules, budgets, and deliverables.
  • Identify necessary resources for projects and coordinate their allocation.
  • Interface with internal and external customers or field-based employees on technical matters.
  • Manage simple projects such as studies, small task orders, Internal Research and Development, Level of Effort, services only, spares, or projects with minimal deliverables.
  • Serve as a Control Account Manager on larger programs as needed.
  • Track project progress against milestones, budgetary guidelines, and other performance indicators.
  • Prepare reports to keep stakeholders informed of project status.
  • Adapt to changes and remain flexible to ensure project success.

Qualifications You Must Have:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration or a related field.
  • 2+ years of experience in project management and/or in a related or technical field, internships not included in total years of experience.
  • Relevant experience can be considered as a substitute for the required educational qualifications. In the absence of a degree, a minimum of 6 years of related experience is required.
  • Higher level relevant degree may substitute for experience.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and project management software.
  • Demonstrated experience in managing a project.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong analytical skills & capability to meet schedules.
  • Strong leadership, communication, organization, and problem-solving skills.
  • Active US Secret Security Clearance

Qualifications We Prefer:

  • Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification.
  • Basic understanding of Product Lifecycle Management (PLM), or similar tool.
  • Experience with developing budgets and managing projects to those budgets.
  • Experience managing project scope and scope creep during project execution.
  • Experience in resource planning and management during project execution.
  • Experience with risk management planning and documentation.
  • Familiarity with government contracting and regulations.

Essential Functions:

  • Ability to work at a computer for extended periods.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to travel as required.
  • Capacity to work in a hybrid environment, balancing office and remote work.

Estimated Starting Salary Range: $94,345.12 - $129,724.54. Compensation varies depending on a wide array of factors, such as candidates' key skills, relevant work experience, and education/training/certifications. The disclosed range estimate may be adjusted for any applicable geographic differential associated with the location at which the position may be filled.

SNC offers annual incentive pay based upon performance that is commensurate with the level of the position.

SNC offers a generous benefit package, including medical, dental, and vision plans, 401(k) with 150% match up to 6%, life insurance, 3 weeks paid time off, tuition reimbursement, and .

This position requires current/active Secret U.S. Security Clearance. U.S. Citizenship status is required as this position needs an active U.S. Security Clearance for employment. Non-U.S. Citizens may not be eligible to obtain a security clearance. The Department of Defense Consolidated Adjudications Facility (DoD CAF), a federal government agency, handles the adjudicative aspects of the security clearance eligibility process for industry applicants. Adjudicative factors which affect the outcome of the eligibility determination include, but are not limited to, allegiance to the U.S., foreign influence, foreign preference, criminal conduct, security violations and illegal drug use.
