Position Summary
Lifescape Colorado is seeking a driven and detail-oriented Senior Accountant to join our Finance team. Reporting to the Financial Controller, this role is essential in ensuring accurate financial reporting, maintaining system integrity, and supporting operational excellence across the organization.
The Senior Accountant will manage core accounting functions including general ledger maintenance, journal entries, account reconciliations, and month-end close activities. This role also supports accounts payable and receivable processes, contributes to special projects, and provides analytical insights through reporting and system management (Aspire and NetSuite) to guide financial decision-making.
Job Duties And Responsibilities
Accounting Operations
Prepare and post journal entries, accruals, and other standard accounting adjustments.
Perform account reconciliations and ensure the accuracy of general ledger balances.
Support the month-end and year-end close processes in coordination with the Controller.
Assist with audits and provide supporting documentation as needed.
Accounts Payable & Receivable
Manage and process vendor invoices, purchase orders, and payment approvals.
Own the administration of the Company's corporate card program RAMP, including card issuance, expense management, purchase receipt creation, and account maintenance.
Support accounts receivable collections by coordinating with operations and project managers.
Maintain accurate records of AR communications and track collection performance.
Financial Reporting & Analysis
Run and analyze operational and financial reports using Aspire and NetSuite.
Identify trends, discrepancies, and opportunities for process improvement.
Prepare and distribute periodic internal financial statements and management reports including meeting with business leaders and key stakeholders to discuss findings.
System & Process Management
Maintain and update Aspire user access, roles, and filters.
Support ongoing system integration projects and enhancements across accounting platforms.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to streamline data flow between departments.
Special Projects
Partner with the Controller on process improvement initiatives, reconciliations, and ad hoc financial analyses.
Lead small accounting-related projects independently from start to finish.
Additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Undergraduate degree in accounting, finance, or related field
3+ years of experience in accounting or financial administration, preferably within a high-touch organization.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Must be effective at prioritizing and problem solving.
Experience using and navigating ERP systems.
Experience using NetSuite and / or Aspire and / or RAMP.
Prior experience with accounting close processes or accounts receivable preferred.
Construction or Landscaping experience a plus.
