Mechanical Engineering Drafter
This is a direct hire for a full-time, permanent Mechanical Engineering Drafter specializing in 2D AutoCAD and 3D SolidWorks, based in Brown Deer, Wisconsin. Salary : $60,000 - $70,000 per year
Essential Duties and Responsibilities :
- Creating detailed designs using 3D SolidWorks to align with customer specifications and industry standards.
- Developing precise 2D AutoCAD drawings as per customized project requirements.
- Performing necessary calculations to ensure reliability and functionality of designs.
- Identifying and resolving design discrepancies and potential issues to prevent project delays.
- Collaborating with sales teams and other engineering staff to verify design concepts and feasibility.
- Providing technical support and guidance to clients and team members throughout the project lifecycle.
- Constantly updating skills and knowledge to stay in line with latest industry trends and technologies.
Minimum Position Qualifications :
A two-year degree in engineering or a related technical field.At least one year of hands-on experience with 3D CAD design, preferably using SolidWorks.Minimum of two years creating and modifying 2D AutoCAD drawings in a professional setting.Two or more years of experience in heavy equipment design, machine design, or material handling design.Proven track record of commitment and longevity in previous roles.Legal status to work in the U.S. (Citizen or Green Card holder).Based within a 45-minute commute of Brown Deer, Wisconsin or willing to relocate at own expense.Preferred Qualifications :
Advanced certifications or training in CAD software are a plus.Experience with ERP systems or similar integrated management systems.Previous exposure to a manufacturing environment where custom products are developed.Skills :
