Cobol Developer - Hybrid

• Description : * The top responsibilities for this position : * Develop and maintain the data feed process from various data sources and transmit data in preparation for loading into the MIS / DSS data warehouse* Analyze DHCS warehouse requirements and research existing claim and eligible processes to develop the data feed process* Utilize statistical tools such as SAS EG to create reports and trends from the MIS / DSS and support user requestsSkills / attributes are required* 5 years’ experience with front-end data warehouse or similar processing which includes extracting data for large files from various sources, cleansing data, and preparing the data for loading into a data warehouse.
• 5 years’ experience as an analyst-programmer performing various system development life cycle functions including; project planning, requirements analysis, program specifications, coding, testing, and implementation.

What skills / attributes are preferred

2 years’ experience working with Business Objects.* 5 years-experience working in a mainframe environmentPosition is for a Medi-Cal Data Warehouse project for State.

The Data Feeds Specialist will be responsible to develop and maintain the data feed process from various data sources and transmit data in preparation for loading into the MIS / DSS data warehouseIdeal candidate background looks like :

Five (5) years’ experience with front-end data warehouse or similar processing which includes extracting data for large files from various sources, cleansing data, and preparing the data for loading into a data warehouse.

2) years’ experience working with Business Objects.* (5) years-experience working in a mainframe environment (with working knowledge of COBOL, VSAM file structures, JCL and TSO) Intermediate level experience with developing program specifications, pseudo code, or logic diagrams*Skills : *sql, business objects, erpss, data, development, etl, mainframe cobol, sas, Jcl, Cobol, Mainframe*Additional Skills & Qualifications : *Must be willing to go on site 1 day a week.
