Position Overview:
Morrice Area Schools is seeking a passionate and dedicated Elementary Teacher to join our team at Morrice Elementary School. The ideal candidate will foster a positive and engaging learning environment, support academic success for all students, and contribute to a collaborative school culture focused on continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities & Qualifications:
- Valid Michigan K-5 Teaching Certificate
- Preferred training or experience with MTSS and PBIS
- Strong communication skills and knowledge of Developmentally Appropriate Practices
- Familiarity with and ability to implement State Standards
- Effective use of technology to enhance instruction, improve student achievement, and increase engagement
- Experience using research-based assessment tools
- Training and experience in differentiated instruction
- Background in cooperative learning and hands-on, inquiry-based instruction
- Collaborative, team-oriented approach
- Demonstrated ability to build strong relationships with students, families, and colleagues
- Excellent professional attendance record
- Must pass a criminal background check and Central Registry clearance
