Examining and managing patient credit balances, the full-time Credit Balance Specialist will ensure compliance with billing laws and ethical conduct while processing refunds and adjudications remotely. Key responsibilities Accountable for all patient credit balances and ensures timely handling Examines patient accounts for posting errors before processing refunds Monitors trends and documents daily productivity for reporting purposes Required qualifications High School Diploma or GED equivalent Less than 1 year of relevant experience Understanding of billing and coding laws Familiarity with Managed Care contracts and adjustments Ability to work with minimal supervision
