Assistant Buyer

Shopbop is seeking an Assistant Buyer to support the Buying team. This position will primarily support the buying team as well as partnering with our receiving teams and vendors to ensure optimal results. The right candidate will also assist in identifying and implementing process improvements. Key job responsibilities include setting up new vendors, entering, managing and organizing all Purchase Orders, processing reorders, SIM issues, receiving issues, RTV's, generating multiple reports for the buying team, maintaining vendor relationships and terms by responding quickly and accurately to both internal and external questions and requests for information, researching problems, and assisting in identifying process inefficiencies and making recommendations for process improvements in a timely manner. The candidate should also assist in other miscellaneous processes and procedures.

Basic qualifications include 2+ years of relevant work experience, experience with Excel, and a Bachelor's degree or equivalent. Preferred qualifications include a general interest in the business of fashion, strong internal customer focus and attention to detail, strong interpersonal skills including written and oral communication skills, the ability to work independently in a fast-paced and rapidly changing environment, and the demonstrated ability to meet deadlines. Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $35,300 / year in our lowest geographic market up to $75,600 / year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
