Job descriptionHigh School Diploma or GED (required) Valid Driver's License (required) 6+ months experience in a mental health or related setting Ability to remain calm in high-stress situations and respond effectively to crises Strong communication and observation skills Health, Vision, and Dental Insurance PTO : 2 weeks year 1 - 3 weeks year 2+ Short-Term and Long-Term Disability
Position : Mental Health Technician (MHT)
Location : Ford City, PA
Schedule : full time - 3x12s - rotating weekends
Pay : $17-20 / hr
Position Summary :
This role involves providing direct patient care within a residential mental health treatment facility, maintaining a safe and therapeutic environment, and assisting with the implementation of treatment plans. The ideal candidate will be compassionate, patient, and able to handle challenging situations with professionalism and empathy.
Responsibilities :
- Provide supervision and support to clients during daily routines and programming
- Assist in maintaining a safe, therapeutic environment for all clients
- Document client behavior, interventions, and incidents accurately and promptly
- Escort clients to appointments or off-site activities as needed
- Communicate client observations to clinical and nursing staff
- Model appropriate behavior and reinforce positive coping skills
