Purchasing Division Contract Monitor
The purpose and mission of the Purchasing Division of the Office of Finance and Management is responsible for the procurement of goods and services. We oversee the city-county bidding opportunities and vendor registration. The agency is able to do this by cultivating a productive, collaborative, and compliant work environment in order for our workforce to meet the needs of the residents of Indianapolis and Marion County.
This position is responsible for providing contract monitoring and clerical support to the procurement team-members. Incumbent in this position will perform standard duties relevant to contract compliance and process improvement. The actions of the incumbent in this position are controlled by operational policies and procedures. Limited independent judgment is utilized when there are no available policies or procedures. Position reports to the Manager Contracts.

Associates degree in Business Administration, Project Management, or related field of study with two (2) years of procurement related experience. Ability to effectively communicate both orally and in written form with great customer service skills. Knowledge and use of Microsoft Office. Must be able to interpret documents and understand procurement policy, city ordinances, and formal contracts. Must be willing to speak in public forums and respond to questions. Ability to multi-task in a challenging environment adapting quickly to change. Ability to maintain working relationships with agency and division contacts and the vendor community.
Preferred Job Requirements and Qualifications
