Senior Accountant Opportunity

We are looking for a detail-oriented and experienced Senior Accountant to join our client's team on a contract basis in Birmingham, Alabama. In this role, you will play a key part in maintaining accurate financial records and ensuring the smooth consolidation and migration of accounting data. Responsibilities :

• Oversee the consolidation of financial records from multiple sets of books into a unified accounting system.
• Transfer and organize historical financial data, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
• Map inventory and purchase orders, recreating them within the new QuickBooks file.
• Maintain clean and precise records of revenue, expenses, and balance sheet accounts.
• Ensure proper reconciliation of accounts, including bank and general ledger reconciliations.
• Execute journal entries and support month-end close procedures.
• Collaborate with the accounting team to manage vendor information and other financial data.
• Assist in creating and implementing templates for the new accounting system.
• Review and validate data accuracy throughout the migration process.
• Provide support for ongoing financial reporting and compliance requirements.
