Job Details :

• Work 12-hour shifts with options for 6 : 30 AM to 6 : 30 PM or 6 : 30 PM to 6 : 30 AM
• Every other weekend requirement
• Minimum of 2 holidays required that fall within contract timeframe
• 1 : 2-3 nurse to patient ratio for adults
• 33-bed ICU with average daily census of 16 patients
• Care for trauma, cardiac, overdose / substance abuse, sepsis, post-stent, pacemaker placement, stroke, vascular cases, renal failure, heart failure, and respiratory distress patients
• Required to titrate drips including cardiac drips, insulin, and sedation
• Must read, interpret, and document telemetry strips using GE monitoring system
• Floating to PCU and occasionally MedSurg with typical ratios of 1 : 4 or 1 : 5
• Work with respiratory equipment from nasal cannula to ventilators
• Required certifications : ACLS, BLS, NIHSS
• Valid driver's license required at submission
• Must pass open book skills exam with 90% or higher during orientation
• Artificial nails prohibited - refusal to remove leads to contract termination
• Chart using EPIC system
• 1 shift of unit-specific orientation provided
• Hospital can cancel up to 4 shifts per 13-week assignment
