Overview

American Furniture Rental (AFR) is looking for a Full-time Truck Driver & Furniture Mover for our location in Huntington Beach, CA 92647 - Direct hire. Must have experience driving a 26-foot box truck and be able to pass a road test. DOT card needed or able to obtain prior hiring. This is a Full-time job with excellent benefits (medical, dental, vision, life insurance), plus paid vacation, PTO, 401K and more.

Responsibilities

• Operate company vehicles in a professional and courteous manner while observing all safety rules according to DOT traffic laws and regulations.
• Perform daily maintenance checks (DOT pre-trip and post-trip inspections) on assigned vehicles and report any malfunctions to management for action and maintenance.
• Deliver, install, and pickup merchandise from warehouses, vendors, and customers in a timely manner with attention to detail.
• Fill delivery orders by obtaining required merchandise and completing appropriate paperwork.
• Protect products using provided protection materials (e.g., furniture pads, coverups).
• Read, comprehend, and complete all paperwork related to deliveries and ensure correct merchandise is delivered per invoices and paperwork.
• Maintain the tool kit provided by AFR in good condition and notify if replacement is needed.
• Confirm with clients that items are in good condition on delivery and obtain signed delivery documentation.
• Inspect facilities before installation or pickup and report any damage with photos to management.
• Inspect and document condition of furniture during pickup; photograph any damage or missing items and notify management prior to loading.
• Ensure customer communications are relayed to appropriate management and maintain a neat and clean workplace.
• Assist with stocking the shipping and receiving department, including lifting and placing cartons on shelves.
• Receive floorplans and execute deliveries with other helpers; wear AFR uniform during work hours.
• Perform other related duties as assigned by management.
