Job description

SHIFT AVAILABILITY Sat-Mon 11pm-7:30am Fri-Sun 11pm-7:30pm GENERAL SUMMARY Operate bus safely, providing transportation for the public and employees, primarily between parking lots and the terminal. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS Operate bus in a safe, efficient manner in highly congested areas Provide direction and assistance to the public Handle complaints in a responsible, respectful manner Maintain bus in safe operating condition throughout the shift, i.e., periodically clean windows, adjust mirrors, check lights, etc. Check safety features of the bus Refuel bus and wash windows at the end of shift Wash and clean buses Direct traffic Engage in snow removal procedures as directed by the supervisor Conduct off-premises bus runs and provide transportation services for special events as directed by the supervisor Observe and report all unusual security situations to the Police Department Observe and report security violations, unusual situations, hazardous conditions and traffic congestion problems Complete all individually assigned duties in accordance with stated department and IAA policies, goals, rules and regulations Perform all of the essential functions of the job outlined above without creating a direct threat to the safety of oneself, subordinates, or other person(s) in and around the airport MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS Must possess class B CDL with a passenger and air brake endorsement Age 21 or over with a valid commercial driver’s license and a good driving record Effectively communicate and comprehend English, both orally and in writing PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS Ability to operate bus and other motor vehicles Ability to climb stairs and equipment Ability to walk, crawl, sit, stand, push, pull, bend, stoop Have full physical dexterity and agility Have excellent hand/eye coordination Ability to write, talk see, hear Ability to operate an airport radio Ability to lift and carry 35 pounds up steps; lift 35 pounds to middle shelf; lift 25 pounds to top shelf Ability to perform required essential job functions in various environmental settings Ability to drive and work in all types of environmental conditions WORK ENVIRONMENT Work independently Work outdoors and indoors Exposure to all types of weather and temperature conditions Exposure to dust, dirt, and hazardous chemicals Limited accessibility to work area Employment Type: Part Time Bonus/Commission: No
