Job Responsibilities

Perform cognitive behavioral and sleep-wake behavioral studies in mice, immunohistochemistry, fluorescence and light microscopy, protein biochemistry and westerns, mouse surgery and neuroanatomy skills will be required. Will also need to know how to perform metabolic assays, glucose tolerance and insulin tolerance tests.

• Perform perfusions, sectioning and neuroanatomy in mouse

• Immunohistochemistry, Light microscopy

• Mouse surgery and sleep studies

• Mouse colony management and genotyping

• Cognitive behavioral testing

• Metabolic assays

• Western blot and biochemical assays

• Perform additional duties as assigned

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science and 0 to 1 year of experience or equivalent combination of education and experience is required

• BA/BS Biology, Chemistry or Biochemistry, Neuroscience preferred

• 1-3 years of experience preferred

Salary offers are made based on the candidate’s qualifications, experience, skills, and education as they directly relate to the requirements of the position, and in alignment with salary ranges based on external market data for the job’s level.
