Job Summary The Inbound Operations Supervisor is a people leader responsible for executing all receiving freight and stocking activities. Reporting to the Inbound Operations Manager, this role involves designing efficient methods to ensure loads are scheduled and received on time, paperwork is reconciled, OS&Ds are filed, and sellable quality parts are stocked. The supervisor also ensures inbound teams properly sort, stock, and reconcile products, maintaining high standards of operational execution while fostering a culture of engagement, empowerment, and problem-solving among team members. Responsibilities Supervise and implement efficient inbound operations, instruct employees, monitor progress, and troubleshoot as needed. Design and maintain organization of inbound freight, receiving dock, stocking activities, and related areas. Ensure adherence to security and safety rules, maintaining a safe environment for all activities. Maintain awareness of budget and enforce cost-saving initiatives and process improvements. Lead warehouse associates, promoting engagement, empowerment, and operational decision-making. Investigate and resolve receiving errors, working with the team to mitigate future issues. Schedule team hours for peak periods to optimize efficiency. Protect company assets, ensure proper equipment use and maintenance, and secure facilities daily. Identify opportunities for cost reduction and process improvements. Foster a culture of engagement and mentorship, facilitating problem-solving and decision-making. Manage processes for freight processing, put-away procedures, and load reconciliation. Qualifications High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent. Minimum 1 year experience in a distribution center or similar environment. Knowledge of safety requirements and strong interpersonal skills. Organizational skills and attention to detail. Basic computer skills; ability to lift/move up to 60 lbs.; forklift and pallet jack certification. Preferred Qualifications 2+ years experience in a distribution center.
