Position Duties

This position is responsible for managing the banking, treasury, and investment operations of the University including cash flow analysis, foreign exchange transactions, maintenance of accounts, and other treasury services. Reports directly to the University Controller and works closely with the Controller's Office, Advancement Office, and other departments under the Vice President for the Finance division. Position also works closely with the University's investment consultant in the management of the University's investment and endowment portfolio.

Assist in the monitoring of the University's investment portfolio by :

• Working with University's investment consultant and investment custodian to execute re-balancing decisions of Board Investment Committee, including all redemptions and new investments.
• Managing the payment and receipt of capital calls and distributions.
• Assist in the review and completion of new subscription agreements for investments and amendments of existing agreements.
• Monitoring investment management fees.
• Preparing monthly roll forwards of investments and journal entries to post investment activity based on statements provided from investment managers.

Support the annual audit process with regards to debt, treasury, and investments by :

Responsible for reporting investment and endowment activity of the University including :

Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or related field.

Minimum of three years' experience in accounting or finance with an emphasis on non-profit endowments and investments preferred.

Detail-oriented nature with strong attention to detail and analytical skills. Must understand the banking industry and the foreign currency market. High level of integrity, ethics, professionalism. Commitment to support the University's mission and values. Strong interpersonal, analytical, written and verbal communication skills. Self-motivator; demonstrated evidence of building collegial relationships. Strong attention to detail with a high degree of accuracy and completeness, ability to prioritize multiple tasks and complete work in a timely and accurate manner. Advanced knowledge of spreadsheet and database software. Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, especially Excel and Word. Workday experience a plus. Ability to effectively interpret and follow University and departmental personnel and accounting policies, procedures and practices. Must be able to support the University's goals for institutional diversity, as well as the goals and values of a Catholic, Jesuit education. Higher ed or not-for-profit experience preferred.
