Job Title

Travel Respiratory Therapist

Location

Blacksburg, Virginia

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | Travel | Nights (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM) | 13-Week Assignment | Three 12-hour shifts per week, every other weekend required

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver core respiratory therapy services across ICU, CMU, medical-surgical, and ED settings within a 76-bed facility
• Operate and manage ventilators including PB840s, PB980s, Philips V60s, and Hamilton C-1s
• Assess, monitor, and treat patients requiring respiratory intervention across varying acuity levels
• Document patient care accurately using the MEDITECH electronic documentation system
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary care teams to support patient outcomes in a Level 3 trauma, Stroke Ready, and Magnet-recognized facility

Required Qualifications

• Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential required
• Minimum 2 years of respiratory therapy experience
• BLS and ACLS certifications required
• Proficiency in core respiratory therapy skills and procedures
• Experience with ventilator management and respiratory equipment

Preferred Experience / Skills

• PALS certification preferred
• NRP certification preferred
• Prior experience with MEDITECH documentation system
