Machine Operator

Are you an experienced Machine Operator with forklift skills looking for a full-time opportunity in manufacturing? A local boat manufacturing company is seeking a dependable Machine Operator/Forklift Driver to join their 1st shift team. This position plays a key role in producing quality aluminum boat components by operating fabrication equipment, reading blueprints, and ensuring parts meet production specifications. Monday through Thursday, 6:00 AM to 4:30 PM
Overtime on Fridays as neededRequirements

• Ability to understand and follow written and verbal instructions
• Experience operating manufacturing or fabrication equipment preferred
• Forklift experience preferred
• Ability to read blueprints, drawings, and production specifications
• Basic shop math skills, including measuring and calculations
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
• Ability to stand, bend, and stoop for extended periods
• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment with elevated noise levels
• Ability to work safely and follow all workplace safety procedures
• Candidates with a demonstrated track record of stability and commitment in previous roles are strongly preferred
• This is a safety-sensitive position subject to drug testing, including for THC, as permitted by state and federal law
• Must be willing to submit to a pre-employment drug screen and criminal background check

Responsibilities

• Maintain a clean and safe work environment through daily housekeeping
• Set up and operate conventional, specialty, and CNC equipment to fabricate aluminum parts
• Read and interpret blueprints, sketches, work orders, and specifications
• Calculate machine settings, feeds, speeds, bend angles, and production sequences
• Monitor machine operation and make adjustments to ensure parts meet quality standards
• Identify and troubleshoot machining issues and work with production staff to resolve problems
• Inspect completed parts throughout the manufacturing process to ensure accuracy and quality
• Safely transport materials and components using a forklift as needed
• Support production goals while maintaining safety and quality expectations
• Assist in training and ensuring assigned helpers follow safety and workplace procedures
