Contract | Travel | 13 Weeks | Night Shift, 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM | Projected Start: September 14, 2026
Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care on an LDRP unit with 10 LDR beds, 3 triage bays, and 2 OR suites, maintaining a 2 laboring patients to 1 RN ratio
- Assist with and monitor inductions, spontaneous vaginal deliveries (SVD), and cesarean sections (C/S)
- Operate unit equipment including GE fetal monitoring, Novii Wireless monitoring, Spectrum IV pumps, and CADD epidural PCA pumps
- Document patient care accurately using the Meditech EMR system
- Maintain current NRP and BLS certifications throughout the duration of the assignment
- Collaborate effectively with a multidisciplinary team including charge nurses and nursery staff on night shift
Required Qualifications
- Active RN license valid in Virginia (or compact license eligibility)
- Minimum 2 years of Labor & Delivery experience
- NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) certification — required
- BLS certification — required
- Travel RN candidates are strongly encouraged to apply
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Intermediate Fetal Monitoring certification or equivalent experience
- ACLS certification
- Experience with Meditech EMR
- Strong communication skills and a collaborative, team-oriented personality
