Penmac Staffing is seeking a detail-oriented Accounting Specialist to join a client's Fiduciary Team. • High school diploma or equivalent required
• Minimum of 2-3 years of accounting experience preferred, or an accounting degree
• Strong understanding of accounting principles
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy
• Exceptional organizational and time management skills
• Ability to work independently while contributing to a team environment
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel preferred
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills

Responsibilities

• Post and reconcile cash receipts and ACH transactions
• Balance and accurately post financial transactions
• Research and resolve payment discrepancies and unapplied cash
• Process fund transfers and maintain accurate records
• Collect, verify, and maintain ACH information for retail agents
• Retrieve and research client information using internal software systems
• Support Accounts Receivable activities and assist with additional accounting-related tasks as needed
• Follow established company policies and procedures while maintaining confidentiality and accuracy
