What Does an Asset Protection Specialist Do?

• Welcome & Protect : Greet visitors, employees, and vendors with professionalism while maintaining a secure and friendly store atmosphere.
• Monitor & Respond : Oversee security systems (CCTV, access control, alarms), respond swiftly to incidents, and take action to minimize risk.
• Demonstrate Reliability : Maintain consistent attendance and punctuality. Communicate proactively to ensure uninterrupted coverage.
• Stay Vigilant : Identify risks early and take initiative to prevent incidents. Keep detailed records of observations, events, and interventions.
• Implement Safety Protocols : Apply knowledge of emergency response procedures, access control systems, and safety regulations to protect people and property.
• Support Incident Management : Assist with investigations, support safety audits, and respond calmly during emergencies or disruptions.
• Communicate with Discretion : Handle sensitive situations with professionalism, confidentiality, and empathy while maintaining trust and neutrality.
• Maintain Operational Integrity : Help monitor inventory movement, support shrink reduction efforts, and report compliance concerns when needed.
• Collaborate Across Teams : Partner with store leaders and the Asset Protection Manager to support training, safety initiatives, and process improvement.
• Adapt Under Pressure : Stay calm and composed during rapidly changing or high-stakes situations, always prioritizing safety and support.
