GENERAL JOB DESCRIPTION

The Job Developer will be responsible for assisting clients of the Homeless Shelter in all stages of the job securement process.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBLITIES

• Provide job development leads and support to unemployed clients
• Evaluates individuals background, skills and interest and matches to potential job openings or job fairs
• Assist clients in resume creation and distribution to potential employers
• Provide outreach to business community to make connections for potential candidates within the client base
• Establishes and maintains working relationships with employers, industry organizations, and public agencies to source job openings and secure employment and vocational training opportunities for clients
• Prepare clients for the interview process including mock interviews and proper interview attire
• Provide weekly reports on job securements of shelter clients
• Create and compose action plans to raise employment levels amongst the client base
• Documentation of individual client cases in DHS's CARES
• In the event of an emergency, Essential Employees are required to report to work as scheduled
• Duties and responsibilities are subject to change based upon assessment of company needs.
