This is a 2nd shift position
Responsibilities:•Set up new and repeat jobs in a variety of vertical and horizontal milling machines.•Measure, examine and test parts using CMM, optical comparator and hand tools to ensure conformance to specifications.•Complete all required shop paperwork accurately and neatly.•Read and interpret complex drawings and specifications.•Gather and assemble tools, holders and fixturing.•Evaluate repeat jobs for opportunities to improve processes and reduce waste.•Partner with Engineering, Quality and Management on department and shop initiatives.•Cleans and maintains machines tools to ensure all equipment stays in good working order.•The above statements are intended to describe the general nature and level of work being performed by people assigned this classification.
