Job duties
Help clients with personal hygiene tasks such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting. Aid clients in moving around their homes or facilities, including transferring from beds to chairs and assisting with walking. Assist clients in taking their medications as prescribed and remind them of scheduled doses. Prepare nutritious meals and snacks according to dietary requirements and preferences. Perform light housekeeping duties, including cleaning, laundry, and maintaining a tidy living environment.
Provide emotional support and companionship, engaging clients in conversation and activities to reduce feelings of loneliness.
Assist clients with transportation to appointments, errands, or social activities, ensuring their safety during travel. Observe and report any changes in clients’ health or behavior to family members or healthcare professionals. Maintain effective communication with clients, caregivers, and healthcare teams to ensure a cohesive care plan. Follow specific care plans provided by healthcare professionals to meet the individual needs of each client.
