Job description
Personal Trainer – Part to Full-time (25-32 hours weekly) – West Nashville You coach.
We handle the sales and keep the schedule full of members.
That leaves you free to do what you’re good at:
- helping people get stronger, healthier and more confident in their own bodies.
- The pay is $25.00–$30.00 an hour.
- At 360 Fitness Coaching, we coach adults 45 and up in small groups of no more than four.
- Many of our members are professionals in their 50s and 60s who want to stay strong for the next 20 years.
- It’s some of the most rewarding work there is, and we’ve been doing it for over a decade.
- We’re growing, so we need another great trainer on the team.
- What’s in it for you A career you can build on.
- I’ve spent 27 years in this profession.
- I’ll show you what actually matters in this industry and help you become the best trainer you can be.
- No sales, ever.
- We bring in new members.
- You coach them.
- Continuing education, on us.
- We invest in your growth every year, because to be great at this you have to keep learning.
- A team worth learning from.
- You’ll work alongside some of the best trainers in Nashville.
- Expect to learn more in a few months here than you’d learn in years somewhere else.
- What you’ll do Coach semi-private sessions of 1–4 people, each on an individual program Keep the energy up and the coaching sharp from warm-up to the last rep Adjust exercises for different skill levels, old injuries and joint replacements Keep every participant safe Give members an experience good enough that they want to come back Take feedback well and put it into practice quickly Handle member concerns or pass them along Attend staff meetings and team education sessions Help keep the facility clean and safe What we’re looking for Genuinely great with people.
- You love helping people hit goals they didn’t think were possible.
- You communicate clearly and kindly, especially with someone who’s nervous about exercise.
- Positive energy.
- We hire for it.
- A hard-working team player.
- You’re humble, hungry and smart, and you can coach every fitness level, from a former athlete to someone three months out from a knee replacement.
- Low drama.
- We’ve run a drama-free gym for over a decade, and the team works hard to keep it that way.
- A learner’s mindset.
- You don’t need to be the smartest trainer in the room.
- You do need to want to get better every day.
Qualifications Current CPR/AED certification (required) A personal trainer certification is preferred:
- NASM, ACE, ACSM, NSCA, ISSA, NCCPT, NETA, NFPT, AFAA, CFSC or similar.
- We’ll consider others.
- A college degree is preferred but not required. 1–3 years of personal training or group coaching experience is preferred but not required.
- Knowing physiology, exercise technique and body mechanics helps.
- Our onboarding will get you ready for the floor faster than any certification course.
- This probably isn’t the right fit if...
- You want to coach your own way with your own program.
- Every coach at 360 uses the same system, so members get a great experience no matter who’s coaching them that day.
- When one coach gets better, the whole team does.
- If you’d rather build your own 1-on-1 client book the way trainers do at a big-box gym, this isn’t that job.
If you’re new to the industry, apply anyway.
Schedule:
- Our training hours are weekdays 5:30am–1pm and 3:30pm–7pm, plus Saturdays 8am–12pm.
- Shifts total 25–32 hours a week.
- Attach a one-page resume.
- I’m looking forward to meeting the next person who joins this team. — Marty Vaughn Powered by JazzHR
