  • Part-Time, Hourly Schedule: Monday–Friday | Up to 29 hours per week Starting Pay: $20.00/hour Position Overview Fellowship Recovery is seeking a compassionate, dependable, and recovery-focused Hybrid Certified Peer Recovery Specialist (CPRS) / CD Tech to join our Clinical Services team.
  • This hybrid role combines peer recovery support with CD Tech responsibilities to help provide consistent client support, maintain a safe and structured treatment environment, and respond to the changing needs of our programming.
  • The ideal candidate has lived experience in recovery, strong professional boundaries, and a genuine desire to help individuals navigate early recovery and build long-term recovery capital.
  • Schedule & Availability Requirements This position requires Monday through Friday availability.
  • Hours will vary based on programming, client needs, and organizational demand, with employees scheduled for up to 29 hours per week .
  • Candidates must be available to work each weekday, Monday through Friday , as scheduling may vary from day to day based on programming needs.
  • While 29 hours are not guaranteed every week, employees must have the availability and flexibility to work up to the full 29 hours when programming requires it.
  • This position is best suited for someone who has consistent weekday availability and can flex their scheduled hours based on client and program needs.
  • Key Responsibilities Certified Peer Recovery Specialist Provide one-on-one peer recovery support using lived experience to build rapport, promote hope, and encourage recovery.
  • Assist clients in identifying recovery goals and actionable next steps consistent with their treatment plans.
  • Help clients navigate treatment services, community resources, sober housing, employment, education, and healthcare.
  • Promote engagement in treatment and help clients overcome barriers to recovery.
  • Model healthy boundaries, self-care, accountability, and positive communication.
  • Collaborate with clinical staff and participate in team meetings.
  • Complete timely and accurate documentation of peer support services.
  • Maintain confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA and 42 CFR Part 2.
  • Maintain ethical and professional standards established by the Minnesota Certification Board.
  • Provide treatment coordination services when appropriately trained, qualified, and approved by Fellowship Recovery.
  • CD Tech / Program Support Conduct wellness checks and facility walk-throughs to support a safe and structured environment.
  • Monitor client behavior and address concerns using trauma-informed, recovery-focused approaches.
  • Respond appropriately to emergencies and assist with de-escalation when needed.
  • Encourage participation in daily programming and redirect behaviors that interfere with recovery goals.
  • Provide support to clients experiencing distress or dysregulation while maintaining appropriate professional boundaries.
  • Escort clients to internal appointments when assigned.
  • Help new clients build rapport and transition into treatment.
  • Support cleanliness and organization of shared spaces and completion of client chores.
  • Identify and report safety or maintenance concerns.
  • Communicate effectively with clinical staff and other team members to promote continuity of care.
  • Minimum Qualifications Certified or eligible for certification as a Peer Recovery Specialist through the Minnesota Certification Board (MCB) or equivalent credentialing body.
  • Minimum of one year of sustained recovery from substance use disorder with active involvement in a personal recovery program.
  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Valid driver's license and proof of active automobile liability insurance.
  • Ability to maintain appropriate professional boundaries and ethical standards.
  • Basic computer and documentation skills.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
  • Commitment to confidentiality, professionalism, cultural humility, and trauma-informed care.
  • Preferred Qualifications Previous experience working or volunteering in peer support, substance use treatment, behavioral health, or human services.
  • Familiarity with co-occurring disorders and recovery-oriented systems of care.
  • Knowledge of community resources related to housing, employment, healthcare, and recovery.
  • Training in trauma-informed care, harm reduction, or motivational interviewing.
  • Bilingual or multilingual candidates are encouraged to apply.
