Job description

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Caregiver to provide essential support to individuals in need of assistance with daily living activities. The ideal candidate will have experience in home health, assisted living, or long-term care settings, and possess the skills necessary to enhance the quality of life for our clients. This role involves working closely with individuals who may have developmental disabilities, dementia, or other health challenges, ensuring their safety and comfort while promoting independence.

Responsibilities

Assist clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) including bathing, dressing, grooming, and meal preparation.
Provide patient care and monitor vital signs to ensure the well-being of clients.
Maintain a clean and safe environment for clients by performing light housekeeping tasks.
Support clients in engaging in social activities and community outings.
Administer medications as prescribed and assist with care plans tailored to individual needs.
Observe and report any changes in client behavior or health status to appropriate personnel.
Utilize equipment such as Hoyer lifts when necessary for safe mobility assistance.
Provide companionship and emotional support to enhance the client's overall quality of life.
Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations to protect client confidentiality.
Qualifications

Previous experience in caregiving, nursing, or related fields is preferred.
Knowledge of first aid and CPR certification is highly desirable.
Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities, Alzheimer’s care, dementia care, or autism is a plus.
Strong patient observation skills and ability to monitor changes in client conditions effectively.
Ability to perform heavy lifting when assisting clients with mobility needs.
Excellent communication skills and a compassionate demeanor towards clients.
Familiarity with home health care practices and senior care principles is beneficial.
