Windows System Admin

Looking for a strong Windows Systems Administrator with skills in virtualization. Any SQL querying exp would be highly preferred. Must work onsite in NYC as of day 1 -

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Windows System Administrator to join our contract IT team. The ideal candidate will have 7 years of hands-on experience managing Windows environments and a strong understanding of SQL databases. The selected candidate will be responsible for maintaining, securing, and optimizing our Windows-based infrastructure and supporting SQL systems that are critical to business operations.

Key Responsibilities :

• Administer, maintain, and optimize Windows Server environments (2016 / 2019 / 2022).
• Manage Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS, DHCP, and Windows patching.
• Monitor system performance and troubleshoot hardware, software, and network issues.
• Implement, support and maintain backup / recovery solutions and disaster recovery plans.
• Install, configure, and maintain SQL Server environments.
• Write and optimize SQL queries and scripts for system automation and reporting.
• Collaborate with development and application teams to ensure system compatibility and performance.
• Collaborate with customers, adjacent technical teams and all level of management to address systems issues.
• Maintain security best practices, including system hardening and vulnerability management.
• Produce documentation for system configurations, procedures, and change controls.
