Neurology Advanced Practice Provider (NP / PA)

Chicago, Illinois

Resurrection Medical Center , a leading acute care hospital serving Chicago's northwest side and a proud member of Prime Healthcare, is seeking a Neurology Advanced Practice Provider (Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant) to join our growing team. This is an exceptional opportunity to work alongside experienced Neurologists in a collaborative, patient-centered environment, providing care across both inpatient and outpatient settings.

Position Highlights

Employment : Prime Healthcare Illinois Medical Group

Schedule : Full-time, day-shift | mix of inpatient and outpatient

Responsibilities :

Perform comprehensive neurological assessments and develop treatment plans under physician supervision

Manage acute and chronic neurological conditions per clinical protocols

Conduct inpatient consultations, assist with discharges, and manage outpatient follow-ups

Order, interpret, and evaluate diagnostic tests (EEG, imaging, labs)

Educate patients and families on diagnosis, treatment, and preventive care

Participate in quality improvement and continuing education initiatives

Maintain accurate, timely clinical documentation per hospital standards

Candidate Eligibility

Licensed NP or PA in the State of Illinois

National certification (AANP, ANCC, or NCCPA)

Neurology experience preferred; willing to train strong internal medicine or critical care candidates

Current BLS and ACLS certifications

Strong communication, teamwork, and critical-thinking skills

Compensation & Benefits

Competitive annual salary : $120,000-$140,000 (based on experience, credentials, and licensure)
