American Express Company seeks Analyst, Data Analytics to Analyze, interpret, organize, and visualize large amounts of data to develop data-driven business strategies. Translate statistics into data visualizations, including graphs, dashboards, and other reporting, for decision-making. Devise data visualization design and principles, including designing static, animated, and interactive visualizations. Support data analytics, database management, and process automation improvements. Partner with business teams across the enterprise to implement strategic data science initiatives. Position requires a Master’s degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Data Science, Business Intelligence, Information Management, or a related field, and 2 years of experience with analyzing customer data to identify trends and develop business strategies. Experience must include 2 years of experience with each of the following : machine learning, Rally, and delivery concepts; IT project management; using Python and R for data analysis and data automation; creating and maintaining business intelligence systems, including MS Excel spreadsheets and MS Access databases; data visualization tools, including Snowflake and Tableau; and Agile methodologies, C++, erwin, MySQL Server, Python, R, RBDMS, SAS, Scrum methodologies, and SQL. Telecommuting is available up to 2 days per week.
