My client is Phoenix, Arizona is looking for a highly qualified Structural Engineer to join their team to work on their industrial, water, and waster water projects. Licensed P.E. Mandatory.
Responsibilities :
- Lead planning, scheduling, and budgeting efforts for structural engineering components of multidisciplinary projects.
- Conduct quality reviews of structural designs and calculations, collaborating with design teams to resolve identified issues.
- Prepare structural calculations and cost / schedule estimates for both design and construction phases.
- Develop construction contract documents, including detailed plans and specifications.
- Perform site investigations and assessments of existing structures, producing comprehensive evaluation reports.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to incorporate project requirements into structural designs.
- Coordinate design details across various engineering disciplines to ensure integration and consistency.
- Mentor junior engineers and provide guidance to technical staff.
- Support CADD technicians in presenting structural designs effectively.
- Review and prepare construction cost estimates specific to structural elements.
- Provide technical support during construction, addressing field inquiries and resolving issues.
- Contribute to the ongoing refinement of design standards, specifications, and typical details.
- Create project-specific structural solutions for unique or complex scenarios.
- Participate in site visits during construction and operational phases as needed.
Qualifications :
Bachelor's degree in Structural or Civil Engineering with a structural focus.Minimum of 10 years of experience, ideally in the design of water and wastewater treatment facilities.Licensed Professional Engineer (PE).Extensive knowledge of building codes and standards applicable to concrete, steel, and masonry structures in industrial and water treatment settings.Proven ability to work independently within multidisciplinary teams to complete engineering tasks.Strong understanding of construction specifications and structural detailing.Proficient in interpreting and applying structural design codes and standards.Effective at organizing and managing work across teams and timelines.Demonstrated project management and production capabilities.Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including public speaking.Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel.Experience with structural analysis software such as STAAD or RISA-3D.Preferred Qualifications :
Master's degree in Structural Engineering.Familiarity with MicroStation or AutoCAD.Structural Engineer (SE) license.Company Description
