A large international client in Phoenix, Arizona is seeking a Senior Structural Engineer with a strong background in the design and analysis of government and public sector facilities . This role involves leading structural engineering efforts for secure, mission-critical, and civic infrastructure projects, including federal buildings, military installations, and emergency response centers.
Key Responsibilities :
- Lead structural design for complex government facility projects, including secure and hardened structures.
- Perform structural analysis and prepare detailed engineering reports and construction documents.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local building codes, including UFC, IBC, and DoD standards.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including architects, civil, mechanical, and electrical engineers.
- Mentor junior engineers and support project management with technical leadership.
- Engage with government clients and stakeholders to ensure project alignment with mission objectives.
Preferred Qualifications :
Professional Engineer (PE) license.8+ years of experience in structural engineering, with at least 3 years on government, military, or industrial projects.Proficiency in structural analysis software (e.g., RISA, ETABS, SAP2000).Familiarity with Unified Facilities Criteria (UFC), Anti-Terrorism / Force Protection (AT / FP) standards, and seismic design.Minimum Requirements :
Bachelor's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering from an ABET-accredited program.5+ years of structural engineering experience.Strong communication and leadership skills.
