Currently recruiting a Business Development Director - Federal (Work from Anywhere) in support of a growing federal contractor that specializes in providing healthcare staffing and related services to federal agencies.
The successful Business Development Director will have a strong command of federal procurements, capture, and proposal management and the ability to communicate effectively with internal stakeholders, teaming partners, and customers in support of the company s growth.
RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT DIRECTOR
Market Analysis and Strategy Development
- Identify opportunities and trends within the targeted federal sectors through comprehensive market research and relationship building.
- Develop and implement strategic business plans to achieve growth targets and increase market share.
Client Acquisition and Relationship Management
- Identify, pursue, and secure new contracts awards from federal and SLED agencies, healthcare facilities, and other stakeholders.
- Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with key clients, understanding their needs and leading company efforts to develop tailored solutions to meet those needs.
Team Collaboration
Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including recruitment, operations, and business strategy units, to lead organic growth efforts.
Proposal Development and Contract Negotiation
- Oversee the development of compelling and competitive proposals for federal government contracts.
- Support negotiations of contract terms and conditions.
Revenue Growth and Financial Management
- Achieve and exceed revenue targets through effective business development strategies and execution.
- Monitor and manage the business development budget to ensure cost-effectiveness.
Compliance and Regulatory Adherence
- Ensure that all business development activities comply with applicable laws and regulations, including the Procurement Integrity Act and the Federal Acquisition Regulations.
- Maintain a strong understanding of federal procurement guidelines and compliance requirements.
Reporting and Analysis
- Generate and present regular reports on business development progress and key performance indicators.
- Conduct data-driven analysis to identify areas for improvement and refine business development strategies.
QUALIFICATIONS OF THE BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT MANAGER
- 8 years of federal business development experience, including capture and bid & proposal management.
- Expert-level knowledge of federal procurement processes, teaming, requirement-shaping.
- Experience with task-order-based multiple-award IDIQ vehicles. Experience in military healthcare services is a strength.
- Exceptional consultative, networking, interpersonal, and communications, skills that have led to successful teaming arrangements and contract awards.
- Strong proficiency using SAM.Gov and Deltek GovWin.
- Proficiency in Microsoft 365 and CRM tools, as well as the ability to generate and present reports, develop win-theme presentations, metrics, and other data necessary to support bid decisions
- Experience with the Defense Health Agency or the Military Health System is a strength.
- Ability to travel occasionally to relevant industry days and similar events.
