ACCOUNTS PAYABLE AND PAYROLL CLERK

General Description
- Accounts Payable and Payroll Clerk is responsible for providing financial, administrative, and clerical services to ensure effective, efficient, and accurate financial and administrative operations within the Helix Alliance organization.
Job Description
Primary Duties / Responsibilities :
Ensure proper approval of invoices prior to processingProcesses vendor invoices and ensures they are paid on timeVerifies invoice accuracy and reconciles payments with vendor statementsMaintains vendor recordsPrepares check runs as neededProvides support during financial auditsMaintains accurate and up-to-date financial recordsPrepares sales tax filings and ensures timely submissionsAssists payroll by entering time tickets into the accounting systemReviews payroll as a check and balance between the BUs to ensure accuracyReviews payroll taxes to ensure balances are correct prior to payments being madeAssist with answering the phone and front office when requiredCompletes miscellaneous tasks as directed by managementQualifications
Education / Training : High School Diploma
Experience : Minimum 1-2 years in Accounts Payable and Payroll.
Skills : Proficient in Word, Excel, and Outlook.
Working conditions : Climate-controlled office environment.
Physical requirements : Must be able to lift 15 lbs. Able to sit for long periods. Minimal standing and bending.
Minimum Requirements :
