Position Overview

The Senior Technical Designer, Innovation & Collaboration will lead the technical development of complex, design-driven garments and exclusive partnerships. This role is responsible for overseeing fit, construction, and specifications, ensuring SKIMS' signature quality and innovation are achieved in every product. The ideal candidate is a seasoned technical design professional with exceptional garment engineering knowledge, a strong eye for detail, and the ability to lead projects from concept through production.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead all technical design efforts for Innovation & Collaboration collections, including highly complex or specialty garments.
• Oversee the creation and maintenance of detailed tech packs, specs, construction details, and graded measurements.
• Manage fittings from initial prototype through final sample, providing expert technical guidance to achieve brand standards for fit and quality.
• Collaborate closely with Design, Innovation, and Product Development teams to problem-solve creative and technical challenges.
• Drive material, trim, and construction innovation to deliver premium product experiences.
• Provide mentorship and guidance to Technical Designers and Assistants, reviewing work for accuracy and consistency.
• Partner with domestic and international vendors to ensure precise communication and flawless sample execution.
• Establish and evolve best practices for technical design processes, pattern blocks, and fit standards.
• Lead technical development for collaboration timelines, ensuring all launch milestones are met.
• Stay informed on emerging technologies, sustainable practices, and production innovations to elevate product quality.
