American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Medical Surgical unit in a Level I Trauma Magnet and Teaching Hospital, requiring EPIC experience and a valid MO or compact RN license.
\n \n Responsibilities\n
Work in a Medical Surgical unit within a short-term acute care hospital settingLevel I Trauma Center and Magnet, teaching hospital environmentPatient population includes acute renal failure, pneumonia, pancreatitis, UTI, encephalopathy, cirrhosis, sickle cell pain crisis, chest pain, COPD, asthma exacerbation, syncope, and diabetes type I with ketoacidosisNurse-to-patient ratios range from 1 : 3 to 1 : 5Shifts are 12-hour days (7 : 00-19 : 30), with every other weekend requiredFloating required within the service line and may include affiliate hospitalsEPIC charting is used and experience is requiredDaily duties include caring for a diverse group of patients with acute medical and surgical needsAll travelers are required to wear navy blue scrubsNo call required for this positionNo local candidates accepted within a 75-mile radiusNo more than 7 days of requested time off allowed per 13-week contract; no time off allowed during first week of assignmentPermanent former employees must wait 1 year to return as a travelerStandard travelers can stay for up to 18 months and must take a 3-month break after 18 monthsFit testing required; facial hair must allow for proper mask fitParking information and fees provided during orientation; parking is free for night shift staff\n \n Requirements\n
