Reporting to the VP Sales & Business Development, we are currently conducting a search for an experienced consultative sales executive to join our small but outstanding team.
This new position, to be located in San Jose, will have responsibility for guiding clients and prospects in the development of wireless solution strategies with accountability for achieving revenue and financial goals.
This individual is a key contributor to the Wireless business strategy and will provide the leadership, team building and execution necessary to drive revenue and partnerships in the wireless services and solutions market.
The ideal candidate will provide thought leadership in the marketplace on how to optimize the use of wireless solutions in relevant industry verticals along with the implementation of customer strategies that enhance sales and build enterprise value
Key Responsibilities
The candidate will have a proven track record of success in building and managing Sales and BD teams within the wireless space :
- An undergraduate degree; MBA or other advanced degree would be a plus.
- Demonstrated accomplishment and leadership in consultative selling.
- A minimum of 8 years of progressively successful sales experience in Telco, semiconductor, wireless carriers, mobility markets & other ecosystem players.
- Existing Executive level relationships within relevant markets.
- Experience must include annual sales targets above $3M. Others need not apply.
- Practical yet creative in terms of developing innovative approaches to sales.
- Experience as a thought leader, presenter and industry expert within the wireless space.
- Strong analytical skills and ability to develop sales forecasts.
- Ability to travel, cold calling and prospecting.
- High energy, self confidence, communication skills and drive to make things happen.
Key Responsibilities
- BA or BS in Marketing, Communications, or other relevant degree; MBA or other advanced degree would be a plus
- High tech industry experience is a MUST
- Minimum 10 years of professional experience
- 2+ years experience in the social media / online marketing industry
- 3+ years working within the wireless industry
- Must have a thorough knowledge of marketing research methodologies.
- Market-ready interpersonal skills and polish
- Internet and IT savvy
- Expert knowledge of the social media industry including channels such as YouTube, LinkedIn, Twitter, Facebook, StumbleUpon, Myspace, Delicious, Digg, blogs, Wikis, etc.
- Intermediate knowledge of Search Engine Optimization (SEO) and social media effects on search engine results
- Experience with producing high quality print collateral
- Ability to work with website development team in making decisions pertaining to graphic design and presentation.
