Director Of Domestic Programs

Position Summary : Director of Domestic Programs is responsible for leading Project HOPE's domestic strategic direction, strengthening relationships with government authorities, partners, and donors within the US and US Territories. The position holder oversees the domestic program portfolio to ensure achievement of program objectives completed on time and within approved budgets while supporting new business development.
Principal Responsibilities :
Minimum Qualifications : Bachelor's Degree in a related field required; Graduate degree in Public Health is highly desirable. At least ten years of progressively responsible domestic health sector work experience in humanitarian contexts, including at least three years in a leadership role as Senior Manager of public health programs at state or national level. Experience working on program end to end start up processes are a must. Experience building networks at a senior level, resulting in securing new funding opportunities for the organization. Demonstrated successful leadership and management experience with a multi-disciplinary team. Experience with representation and fundraising success, including prior experience with HHS, federal health agency donors, private corporation and foundations. Proven ability to negotiate and work with partner organizations. Experience with organizational capacity strengthening and partnership building. Strong budget and fiscal oversight capacities. Established capacity to deal with ambiguity in stressful situations. Ability to respond to multiple priorities in a timely manner, producing high-quality outcomes. Significant experience working in US based health programs is a must. Fluency in the English language with strong verbal and written communication skills.

While international travel is not a regular part of every job, programmatic needs may require it intermittently to respond to onset emergencies. Project HOPE employees may be required to travel or work in countries where working conditions are classified as "hardship."
