Assistant Consultant, Ports and Marine Engineering – WSP USA

This Opportunity : WSP USA is seeking an Assistant Consultant, Ports and Marine Engineering . This position can be based out of Irvine-CA, San Diego-CA, or Portland-OR.

Responsibilities

• With minimal supervision, assist with collecting, compiling, and analyzing data from the physical work site, survey data, technical reports and drawings, and other data matrices for project development, design, and construction.
• Assist with the development of project design requirements, incorporating marine-practice engineering standards and specifications.
• Assist with identification of project site, design and construction related risks and provide input on mitigation activities.
• Write technical reports and generate complete and concise documentation of findings, using sketches, calculations, Excel spreadsheets, technical drawings, and other engineering software.
• Prepare presentations to communicate findings and recommendations to internal and external team members as well as clients.
• Work with cross-functional teams in executing project work, collaborating with other engineers and multi-disciplinary teams on Federal, State, regional, and locally funded projects.
• Participate in site visits and inspections to gain practical insights into maritime construction processes.
• Exercise responsible and ethical decision-making regarding company funds, resources and conduct, and adhere to WSP's Code of Conduct and related policies and procedures.
• Complete all assigned trainings and perform additional responsibilities as required by business needs.

Benefits and Compensation

Compensation : Expected Salary (all locations) : $56,300 - $92,900. WSP USA reserves the right to adjust the final offer based on education, experience, and location.
