Job Title : Technical Writer I

Work Location : Onsite at Hemlock plant (1885 N Orr Rd, Hemlock, MI 48626).

Work Schedule : Monday thru Friday - Typical 40 hours per week.

Contract Duration : 6 Months (with potential to extend).

Local candidates only.

Interview Process : 1st round : Phone screen, then 2nd round : MS Teams Video interview.

Travel Requirements : Minimal travel is expected for this role with it being onsite at the Michigan plant.

Requirements :

• 5+ years as a Tech Writer in a manufacturing environment.
• Minimum of Associates required, Bachelors preferred.
• Bachelor’s degree in Technical Writing, Communications, or STEM field is preferred, but will consider candidates with extensive experience without the degree.
• Proven experience as a Technical Writer (or in a similar role) in a manufacturing environment.
• Strong writing, editing, and proofreading skills with excellent attention to detail.
• Ability to understand complex technical information and translate it for non-technical audiences.
• Proficiency in tools such as Microsoft Word, Adobe Acrobat or similar documentation software.
• Strong organizational and project management skills to handle multiple tasks and deadlines.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.

Compensation and Benefits :

Pay Range : $29.46 / hour - $39.29 / hour.
