POSITION SUMMARY :
LifeCare Alliance's Nutrition Program's dedication to quality has allowed it to become one of the oldest, largest, and most trusted Meals-on-Wheels providers in the county. Our program prides itself on providing consumers and stakeholders with all the information they need for the most successful nutrition experience. Dietitian Technician is responsible for supporting customers, case managers, consumer family members, and other Agency personnel. This role will help active and potential consumers navigate their nutrition journey within Meals-on-Wheels. Work requires exceptional communication and problem-solving skills and an ability to handle multiple functions at one time. This position requires an understanding of older adults and chronically ill individuals and their dietary needs. A positive and cooperative image and attitude is crucial for this position. Work performed is under the general supervision of the Quality Assurance Manager.
This is a 100% grant-funded position with an anticipated grant end date of 8 / 31 / 27. Although the grant is expected to end on that date, sometimes additional funding can be obtained to extend a grant beyond the end date. If that would occur, your employment under the grant might also be extended. However, you should be aware that your employment as an employee of LifeCare Alliance is considered to be at will and may be terminated by you or LifeCare Alliance at any time regardless of the end date of the grant.
PRINCIPLE RESPONSIBILITIES / ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS :
WORKING CONDITIONS :
Work in agency office except when completing in home assessments throughout Franklin County. Weekly travel should be expected.
Generally works eight scheduled hours between agency opening and closing, Monday through Friday, generally 8am-5pm. Some remote work may be approved, but majority will be in office.
Must be available and willing to drive in a variety of weather conditions.
QUALIFICATIONS :
Minimum Qualifications : Must be a graduate of an approved dietary manager's, diet technician, or dietitian's course that meets the state regulations. Possession of valid registration as a Dietetic Technician with the Commission on Dietetic Registration of the American Dietetics Association (ADA). Substitution(s) : Possession of a Verification Statement indicating completion of the requirements of a dietetics program approved by the American Dietetics Association. If the substitution is applied, possession of valid registration as a Dietetic Technician with the Commission on Dietetic Registration of the American Dietetics Association (ADA) must be obtained upon completion of the probationary period. Must have a reliable vehicle, valid Ohio Driver's License, acceptable driving record, and adequate vehicle insurance.
