Respiratory Therapist
Position : Respiratory Therapist (RRT / CRT)
Location : Gainesville, FL
Shift : Nights with rotating weekends
Duration : Permanent
Job Summary :
- Knowledge of patient responses, side effects and proper dosages of medications used in respiratory care.
- Able to communicate effectively with Physicians, patients, managers and the publics. Ability to teach / instruct, assess and reassess others.
- Able to recognize and report abuse and neglect in patients.
- Knowledge of generally accepted practices in respiratory care as prescribed by the physician.
- Delivers, set-up, and maintains routine and non-routine therapies and equipment (i.e., oxygen, aerosol therapy, ventilators) utilized by Respiratory Therapy.
- Ability to perform and interpret Arterial Blood Gases.
Qualifications :
- 1yr min Acute care setting exp. required (ICU, CVICU, NICU, PICU, Critical care unit)
- FL State Respiratory License
- NBRC RRT / CRT
- Basic Cardiac Life Support(BLS)
- ACLS- Advanced Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
- NRP - Neonate Resuscitate must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
- PALS - Pediatric Adv Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date.
