Performs duties to receive, stock, and manage inventory of spare parts for the maintenance department with a safety-minded attitude that maintains and enhances a safety culture for the benefit of the Company and its employees.
Primary Responsibilities
- Performs Physical Inventory, cycle counts and audits of stock items
- Receives UPS, FedEx and other deliveries
- Distributes packages to appropriate departments
- Receives stock and direct issue items within EAM (CMMS)
- Communicates with and notifies Planner / Scheduler of Planned Parts received
- Prints barcode labels / tags for new inventory and stores items in the established inventory location
- Creates part numbers and inventory locations for new items
- Provides assistance to mechanics and operators in locating parts
- Restocks unused items
- Maintains organization and cleanliness of the storeroom area, shelving, and cabinets
- Performs other duties as assigned
Requirements
Able to speak, read, and write English fluentlyAble to lift up to 30-40 pounds, 10-15% of the dayAble to operate a pallet jack and lift truckAble to work flexible hours as needed (occasional weekend or 2nd shift)Proficient with and strong aptitude for computersProficient with Microsoft Office programsKnowledge of storekeeping practices a plusThis is a union position and comes with benefits provided by the union, upon completion of the 90-day probationary period.
