Experience :

Minimum of experience in clinical decision-making for suicidal clients and conducting biopsychosocial assessments of youth.

License :

Licensed Independent Social Worker (LISW) or Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC) or Licensed Independent Marriage and Family Therapist (IMFT) by the relevant board.

Certifications :

Completion of continuing professional education for license renewal per applicable regulations.

Must-Have :

Experience and passion for making a positive impact on the lives of incarcerated juveniles.

Description :

The Behavioral Health Provider operates under the general supervision of the behavioral health services supervisor.

In this part-time contract role, you will assess the risk for suicide and mental health stability among incarcerated juveniles.

You will conduct thorough biopsychosocial assessments and updates for youth involved in legal proceedings and residing in correctional facilities.

Your work will contribute to positive outcomes and youth well-being within this unique context.

Assess the risk of suicide and mental health stability for incarcerated juveniles.

Perform biopsychosocial assessments for incarcerated youth.

Make informed clinical decisions related to treatment status and needs.

Ensure meticulous completion of all necessary documentation.

Collaborate closely with the behavioral health services team to facilitate seamless service delivery.

Provide coverage during weekends and holidays as coordinated with the behavioral health services team.

Be prepared to encounter clients who may be potentially violent.

You may be exposed to unusual noise, odors, or contagious diseases.
