HumanEdge Health is seeking a dedicated Travel Psychiatric RN to join a behavioral health unit in Rochester, NY. This is an exciting opportunity to support patients in a dynamic inpatient psych setting while gaining valuable experience in one of upstate New York’s leading health systems.

Responsibilities :

Conduct patient intake assessments and gather case histories

Plan and provide nursing care to patients with mental health conditions

Make nursing diagnoses and recommend treatment options

Collaborate with psychiatrists and behavioral health teams to design treatment plans

Administer and monitor patient response to psychotropic medications

Provide education and emotional support to patients and families

Maintain safety and security protocols for both staff and patients

Monitor and treat pain, take vital signs, and track patient progress

Document accurately in electronic medical records (EMR)

Perform administrative tasks as needed (filing, phones, data entry)

Deliver high-quality, respectful care and service

Requirements :

Active New York RN license (no exceptions)

BLS certification (AHA only)

CPI certification required

Minimum 2 years of psychiatric nursing experience

Ability to work all shifts (D / E / N), weekends, holidays, and on-call per unit needs

Strong communication, assessment, and documentation skills
