Job Title : DeltaV MES Support Engineer

Location : Holly Springs, NC

Experience : 7+ Years

Contract Length : 12+ Months (with possible extensions)

Project Overview :

The MES Automation team in Holly Springs is responsible for migrating, implementing, and debugging automation processes designed at the company's European locations. These processes form the backbone of biomanufacturing operations, including four 20,000L bioreactors per production unit, seed trains, purification skids, and integration with central utilities and warehouse systems. The MES team is also working to reduce backlog and focus on critical initiatives like the "shared dispensary" project.

Key Responsibilities :

Debug and resolve misconfigurations in DeltaV MES, including web service troubleshooting and point-of-failure identification.

Notify manufacturing teams of configuration updates required in production.

Review workflows to track batch statuses and identify issues.

Conduct design reviews on system requirements and lifecycle documentation for MES functions :

Document Management (DCA)

Bill of X (Materials, Parameters, Tests)

Order Management (OM)

Material Management (MM)

Workflow Execution (WFX)

Electronic Batch Record (EBR)

Quality Review Manager (QRM)

Weigh & Dispense

Translate system requirements into test protocols.

Test MES project setups including infrastructure, software installation, recipe development, and user acceptance testing.

Required Skills & Experience :

Proven experience as an automation engineer supporting Emerson DeltaV MES projects.

Hands-on experience in a cGMP environment and familiarity with FDA regulations.

Expertise troubleshooting workflows and tracing points of failure.

Understanding of DeltaV MES components and configurations, including Execution Groups, Behavior Files, and Task Library.

Experience debugging configuration items and behaviors in DeltaV MES.

Experience migrating solution components between DeltaV MES environments (e.g., Development Validation Production, or Validation Production).
